A reason to celebrate!

Yesterday we celebrated and I was treated to a dinner at Marco Pierre White by my lovely husband. After 5 long years, I finally paid off my Career development Loan! I took out a CDL on accepting a place at Italia Conti back in 2010 and have been paying for it since graduating. Like many performers the prospect of paying the eye wateringly expensive drama school fees was something I didn't know how i would achieve on accepting my place and although I was very fortunate to have a wonderfully supportive family that gave me all that they could and helped me by paying my rent, I felt I also needed to make a contribution. Paying back my CDL has at times, especially when first graduating felt like an impossible task but I am thrilled to say that i have finally paid back the many thousands that I borrowed. Despite the hard times, taking out a CDL is something I am thankful that I was able to do as it has allowed me to progress in a profession that I love. I have met and worked with some wonderful professionals and some I am able to call my dear friends.
