Road @ The Royal Court

Last night I got to witness my incredibly talented friend Faye Marsay, making her West End debut in the Jim Cartwright Play - Road, at the Royal Court. What an absolute treat. The story itself is simple and it's most true form. A road in the North of England and the working class lives of the people enduring the struggle of living on the bread line during the government of Margret Thatcher. Despite it's simplicity the play is made brilliant by the interpretations of the impeccable actors involved. I laughed, I cried and I feel privileged to have seen such a wonderful piece of theatre, set in a place that's so close to me heart, The north!
