Marathon mayhem!

I know so many people who are running the London Marathon this year so myself and Matt did our bit to go and support all who were running. It's the first time I went into London on marathon day, normally i'd avoid the maddness like the plague! I was surprised that it wasn't the dreaded chaos i was expecting it to be and although it was mayhem trying to get around on the tubes, the atmosphere was so loving and friendly. I was fully expecting the pushing, shoving and trampling of toes in the tunnel visioned minds of the London folk you get on the daily commute but it was quite the opposite and I thoroughly enjoyed the day. Along with our good friends Viki and Ross we devised a plan to head to different parts of the marathon in a tag team attempt to cheer on our nearest and dearest as the hammered through the 26.2 mile slog.

For charity or just for personal achievement, I was truly inspired by every single person that took on the challenge. Before today I honestly didn't know if I could run a marathon and I still don't but seeing how determined the runners of all ages, sizes and abilities made me really consider giving it a go!

Being there at the end to watch our loved ones cross the line was just brilliant and who knows, next year there might be someone there greeting me?
